Trip to Tennessee

During the last week of winter break I went to go visit my dad and his family in White Bluff, TN, about 40 mins outside of Nashville.

I drove the whole 8 hours on a Tuesday; got the tour around the area and relaxed Wednesday and Thursday; had lunch with a BYU friend, Suzy, in Louisville; stayed with AZ friend, Angelina, in Indianapolis Friday night; and made it back by 8:30am Saturday so Dan could get to work. Phew! I was tuckered out by the time I rolled back into Chicago.

Overall, TN seems beautiful: mild weather, rolling hills, lots of trees. I could only imagine how stunning it must be when the leaves are on the trees and everything is green. It's a little too slow of pace for me, but seems like a great place to visit or retire.

Sorry, these are out of order.
The Parthenon. Isn't that so random? But cities did crazy stuff for World's Fairs I guess...

Me by a column for scale. It's huge!

The Batman building (now the AT&T building)

Outside of Country Music Hall of Fame. Goal for next time: actually go inside

Main drag in Nashville. Reminds me of Mill Ave in Tempe to be honest.

My dad's driveway. Had to walk up this at the end of my runs. Ack!

Ravine at the food of my dad's driveway - gorgeous

My brother is currently serving as a volunteer fire fighter.

My dad really likes these chocolates and we happened to see this painting of them

Grabbed this shot while on a run. See? Beautiful!

Beautiful again

Met these guys (& gals?) while on a run.
They came up to the fence and "bahhh-ed" at me
